Review: Gillette Fusion Proglide With Flexball

A few weeks ago Gillette decided to send me their new Fusion Proglide Razor with Flexball. As a long time user of Gillette razors I expected it to be a really good razor, as all the Gillette razors I've ever used have been. I did, however, have many doubts how much of a difference the flexball would actually make to my morning shave. I was pleasantly surprised.

There is only so much you can say about how a razor feels while shaving. And this razor like the normal Proglide before it feels great while shaving. I'm pretty sure if the shave was any closer, I'd probably hurt myself while using it. So the important question is whether or not the Flexball "technology" makes the shave any better... I felt that it did, while I don't think that it made the shave itself any closer, I did feel that it was more nicer to use especially when going over certain curves of the chin and cheekbones with that little bit of flex actually making it more comfortable. I also feel that the number of ingrown hairs I got went down a lot while using this, but I'm not sure if that was from the razor or a recent change in shaving cream... I probably will never know.

My conclusion is this, will this razor change the world, no, but it is a solid upgrade to the already great Gillette Fusion Proglide. It is worth buying for sure... now I just need to compare it to the razor's from Dollar Shave Club

Cure EM (Erythromelalgia)

So as I mentioned in a previous post, my wife (Tracey) has Erythromelagia (EM for short). I am going to try and sum up this condition and how it has affected our lives in as short of a blurb as I can. Here it goes...

Picture from my wife's blog- i'm (not) superhuman
This condition began to show up around May of 2010 when my wife's feet would randomly swell, turn red, get hot to the touch and become extremely painful. She describes it as being lit on fire. It is actually considered one of the most painful conditions out there. It is also very rare, which is why we brought the diagnosis to our primary care doctor. And for us it was just one more problem on a long list of things that had happened to Tracey's health over the past few years.

At first the flares were fairly infrequent, and she mostly noticed them when it was pretty warm out or when she had been walking for a while. Over the past 10 months, EM has taken control of every part of our lives. Tracey now has to work…

This is healthy...No this is...

For years I've been trying to eat healthy with self admitted terrible success... And this post is not to blame anyone, because honestly I have no one to blame but myself for my mostly poor eating habits.

What this is about, is the frustration of eating "healthy"... At my most recent count I believe there is approximately twelve million different diets or ideas on how to "eat healthy"... about 3 times as many as there are actual food items in existence! For every food item it seems there is at least one diet, book or person saying it is good, and at least one saying it is not good...Or at least this is how it feels sometimes.

So my question is this, how do you choose what is actually good, how do you move past the confusion? I have read so many different books and theories, all of which sound so great while reading them, until you read the next one that is either a slight variation (at best) or the complete opposite of what you just read... and of course is just…

Panera Bread: Açaí Berry Iced Tea

Why I got it:

Had some time to kill and it looked refreshing. It is a regular fountain drink on the menu as well so it has free refills.

Cost: $1.79

Quick Thoughts:

It was inexpensive and refreshing with just the perfect hint of berry. I prefer mine unsweetened but you can add sugar if you would like.

Would I Get This Again:

YES

Why:

The combination of cost and refreshment was perfect. I love good iced tea. There regular black tea is also very good but this was the first time I've seen this flavor here.

Where have you found good Iced tea?
